Peugeot 405 T16

Post by Christopher_205Rallye » July 30th, 2008, 4:01 pm

Hi Guy and all.

I am the owner of two 205 1.3 Rallyes which is a fairly rare car nowadays since they only made about 30,000 of them.

Recently there has been a new arrival in the Chan family. A little girl (Aloisia).

After much thought I decided to sell one of my Peugeot 205 Rallye's...

and buy a larger car for family trips. I was lucky to come across a peugeot 405 T16 in great condition. It was too good an opportunity to miss. There was reported to be produced between 400 and 1000 of these cars ever. So I feel very lucky to have one. It is said that this engine is the base for the WRC engines. The standard internals can take up to 450 bhp. This has been proven.

  • 200 bhp (288NM) at 1,1 bar (normal boost)
    220 bhp (318NM) at 1,3 bar (overboost) for 45 sec.
    2.0 L 16-valve turbocharged XU10J4TE engine with watercooled chargecooler
    constant four wheel drive with 53/47% power distribution
    hydraulic suspension keeps the car and the weight balance always level
    0 -> 100 km/h ~6 seconds
    Weight 1340kg
