Fiat Coupe 16V turbo question
Hello,
I'm building a Fiat Coupe 16V turbo engine, with about 450 HP goal. My question is : do I have to use any forged crank and rod bearings? And where I can get them, becouse I haven't found in www. I'm alsow worry about oil pump, will OEM pump be good enough? Third question is where i can get forged bolts for cylinder head and crank? Far as I know ARP don't have it in offer.

I think you will need forged pistons and conrods.
Crankshaft you don't need forget.

I ordered my rods direct from Pauter and I could still make a profit on them. Taxes and VAT makes them relatively expensive... but the exchange-rate is better now.
I thought Fiat had used tri-metall bearings as standard?! But nowadays everybody only can buy aluminium-bearings. (same problem with the Uno Turbo...). But I think its not clear that you really need trimetal bearings...

Looks like a real professional job, clean, organised.. Nicely photographed too, well done!
The only remark I'd make is regarding the flywheel. If you're running race rods and pistons we're talking, well, a full spec motor capable of high rpm and torque. So it makes sense to dowel it to the crank. Now I'm not trying to be clever here, I own the forum so I advise people. There's no point my running it otherwise. What you do is your affair sure - but I've seen a number of fw that have been lightened this way and I've been concerned about the lack of good radii in the region arrowed and the risk of it being under 12mm thick in the central undercut region. Which is must be be, it's only cast iron and thus half the shear strength of steel.
