Tech Edge 3B1 narow band output question

Post by Turbohead »

Hello,

We are currently working on mapping a Delta Integrale 8v
cat to fuel correctly at higher-than-stock boost levels
(1.2 bar). We are using the RP Lab Fully programmable IAW
ECU and Tech Edge Wide Band Lambda meter/logger model 3B1
to see/log AFR across the range.
The ECU itself supports narrow band lambda input, for
control of stoich conditions under low and moderate load.

The Tech Edge unit works great, it is very fast and
accurate and offers many functions. It also can feed
simulated narrow band lambda signal to the ECU.

However, we are having some problems with its NBout (Narrow
Band Lambda simulated output signal) and WBlin output which
we are trying to configure to simulate narrowband (Bosch
LSM11) sensor behavior.

The NBout and WBlin outputs in 3B1 unit are giving higher
voltages then they should.

The unit is sending 1.5 to 2.5 volts when we configure it
to simulate LSM11 in NBout which should be 0-1 volts. It
gives the same voltage on WBLin (12bit DAC) output when
configured to simulate LSM11 sensor! We tried configuring
it to give linear parameters of 0.3v for rich and 0.7v for
lean conditions however it seems that the unit gives 1.5 to
2.5 or more volts no matter what we configure it to!

We are hoping this voltage irregularity is caused by a
minor configuration/setup mistake on our side rather than a
possible hardware problem with the WBL unit itself!

We would appreciate any ideas/tips from forum members who
have experiences with Tech Edge units, and possibly had the
same problem with Tech Edge 3B1 unit?

Thank you,
Ernest Gjinovci
