Slide plate throttle bodies

I have finally had a chancve to make pictures of my slide plate throttle bodies with manifold. I publish them here because i few people asked about it.
The setup is taken from ex-works FSO Polonez group B(2.0l 8v Fiat engine) and it fits as a replacement to the IDF 44 carbs. Throttles are cut in aluminium plates with bronze(at least what is what it looks like) slide plate and neddle bearings from the "head" side for free movement.
I use this setup with 16v Tipo head and Fiat coupe modified inlet manifold.
Below are some pictures of fully stripped throttles.

Slide plate throttle design and fuel injection

It is interesting to note the fuel injection point is different on both designs. One places it before the throttle plates and the other after the throttle plates. Does any research exist to the pros and cons of either design.

thank you,

Cesare

I am no expert in this but F1 engines seem to have injectors located before throttle so probably it is better but for sure an expert(Guy :) ) would help.

before throttle body = longer way to the engine = more time for mixture to mix + fuel can take more heat from the air = better mixture homogenisation = power gain?

Those throttle bodies looks intresting, do you think it will also be good for turbocharged engine?

yes -this is the reason why some race engines use 2 rows of injector (4+4 injectors). One row is located before throtle body , and it is used in high engine rpm.Second row is betwen throttle body and valves and it is being used in low engine rpm.
