Would camshaft , P/N 4334837, from a early Fiat, be a good fit for my 8v/2 Liter engine that I am having rebuilt. The engine will have a 10:1 compression ratio and twin weber IDF 40's. Have a chance to purchase this cam, bran new, although the purchase does not include the exhaust cam. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

*General internet forum accuracy not withstanding...

Another Fiat forum has 4334837 as a Pittatore camshaft:

Seemingly from a Fiat 2L TC 131 racing. Higher lift cam @9.900mm lift, with 15/55 57/13 cam timing 245 degrees. Pittatore call these a B26.

Fiat 4334837 wide lobe intake (245 @ 0.80mm) 9.900mm lift

Gary, thanks for that information. Would you have an opinion as to rather or not this would be a good inlet cam for me rebuild ?

Guy if you read this thread I would like your opinion also.

Again thank you Gary.

Hi wfolland,

The info I posted was only what I found whilst trawling the net. As I said the usual caveats about trusting internet-sourced info apply ! (although it did come from a Fiat forum).

Just trying to help you narrow down where the cam might have come from.

Unfortunately I'm better at finding info on the net than I am advising on parts suitability so will defer to more knowledgeable members to provide help.

I think those numbers are the blank (chill cast) rather than the part number..

Thanks Guy, will do some more research myself to determine exactly where and to what camshaft this this P/N can be associated to.
