124 Spider and Coupé
Hello,
Here are my cars :
(124 Spider owned since 2006)
(124 CC1 owned since april 2013)
The 124 Spider is a stock 2000 FI and the Coupé was of course a 1800 but is now fitted with a Strada 130TC engine (made by previous owner).
I am planning to put the Spider on the track, not for competition but just trackdays with classic cars. I will create a topic in this way.
I am a 35 years old french guy (named Sylvain) without experience with engines. Please be indulgent with my language and my technical questions.

And very nice cars. I can't remember the last time I saw a Coupe in the UK.

Classic Italian cars - really nice, I like it!
Happy to see where you end with your engine building project.
Language - seems good to me and only practicing makes you a champion!

Re: 124 Spider and Coupé
No that is not original seats. But the previous owner has covered both those seats and the rear ones with the same textile (black and not grey as the picture suggests).
I first wanted to put this coupé on the track as it has some “performance” features. But I really want a rollbar for that and it is my familly classic car so I need the back seats.
“Performances” features are :
- this 130TC modified engine with “ 124 rally cams” (don’t know the design), electronic ignition, homemade exhaust header, 2 solex C40 with venturis drilled to 36, modified oil pump to suit the 1800 sump, ignition xxxx (don’t remember the word) on the block and not on camshaft. Nothing amazing, but pulls well.
- Spax adjustables schocks
- Drilled discs (not sure it has an effect)
- Front sport seats
- …
