I have recently been offered a set of Kent FT10 cams, and the seller has very reasonably allowed me to inspect the cams prior to purchase. The seller tells me they have only been run for approximately 1000 miles, and they sound perfect for my intended usage (fast road car, no intention to use on track days, let alone race). Basically I wanted them to be good, so I can buy them.
However when I received them yesterday I was somewhat unsettled to see apparent scoring and marking of most of the bearing surfaces. I've taken a number of photographs and will post them up here for people's inspection. I basically want to know whether the cams are fit for purpose or not.
Here are close-up photographs of the inlet cam:
And here are photographs of the exhaust cam:
Thanks in advance for all replies. Guy, if the photos are too big, let me know and I will delete and re-post.

Hi Guy,
Apart from the scoring marks, aren't those lobes showing bucket interference wear ?
Still learning,
Thomas..............
