Can anyone ID this LS differential?

Client of mine wants to sell this limited spin diff unit but we don't know what it's for. It was sold to him as being for a Fiat 131 TC 2 liter but it isn't.

I think it's unused. Thanks to anyone who can advise or who may be interested in buying it.

Maybe 124 live axle or Gp4 IRS type 124/131?

Sorry. Could be anything from those pictures. Unless someone actually has one like that lying around and recognizes some specific feature, little chance.

With some figures for main dimensions it would be feasible to look for a similar unit in catalogues from Quaife etc, that would lead to the correct application.

regards
Tom

If you can measure things like bearing journal diameters, their length to each other and ring gear bolt pattern, I can compare them to Lada/Fiat 124 ones easily.

These pictures alone won't tell much. You can't even tell of what kind of LSD it is. I would guess it is clutch pack one, but I'm not sure.

GC - if your client could give key dimensions, i could check if it is 124/131 G4 -

First impression, however, is that it is not - i think it looks to have output drive for shafts with only 24/25 splines (pretty hard to count from those pictures) which is way smaller than 131

Maximum diameter approx 135mm. Length approx 148mm. 22 splines. There are some very faint inscriptions on the widest shaft part. It reads something like BP 826679 TF 383 T 266

Any chance that the inscription could have been "BR" not "BP"??
Then you can check the serial number and dimensions with Bacci Romano maybe..

Thanks - I had a look thru Fiat at Bacci but they don't use a simple 'BR' coding and as faras I can tell none of the diffs look like this one..

By maximum diameter, you mean the extreme outer diameter of the drilled section where the bolt holes are, or the machined diameter where the inner face of the crown wheel lays and centers?
If second answer is the case, than we can start narrowing the search for Fiat models with a 5.25" crown wheel size. Pretty small no?

Thanks - but 'hold-fire'...

I've suggested the owner now write to Bacci with photos!
