Ford Fiesta XR2 1987

The car was first rebuild in 2005 as a stock XR2, when drunk driver hit the car, after it was rebuild again. The old cvh engine was to slow and we had an RS2000 engine so it was put in. It is the only fiesta mark 2 there have an RS2000 engine in here in Denmark, almost all people says the engine can’t fit I a fiesta as it is too big.

Some specs on the car:

Almost stock body.
Engine from a Ford Escort mk 5 sauber.
Gearbox from a 1600 diesel fiesta.
Helix clutch
Brake servo and master cylinder from 1600 diesel.
Modified exhaust manifold and powerwrap on it.
Homemade 2.5” exhaust.
The RS2000 engine loom matted with fiesta loom.
Fuel tank from a 1,4 fiesta.
Fuel pump from an XR4I
And a lot of homemade and modified parts.
The car is home painted

hi Anders,

Now that's putting a big engine in a small car! :-)
Very nicely done too, it all looks very tidy and professional. I guess it really flies. What sort of power/weight ratio do you have with this combination?

regards,
Tom
