Dear Guy,

I had buy a new camshaft and valve springs. Now I have question about valve springs. The coils of springs (inner and outer) are sticking to each other. Clearance between them are zero. Is this acceptable?

In Race applications it's common to have Dual Springs with frictional damping designed in the system.
If one of the springs starts to resonate, the other spring damps out the motion.
