That is very handsome indeed Geoff, love the fuel cell, never seen one before, and great quality photos, thanks very much for sharing them with us all.

I'd very like to hear about events and things that you have done since you fitted the motor. If yu have a photo of car interior exterior even better.

(BTW There's is no limit to members' photos here, this website has its own dedicated server set up by my friend Phil Day QA Webhosting)

MODEL POST

I have to say Geoff, that is STUNNING.

The quality of the car, the driving, the handling and the whole visual impact. Superb, and I have seen 'a bit' in my time as a race engine builder.

If this doesn't inspire others to attain your level of preparation and attention to detail in the whole thing, including the superb photography, nothing will!

Good for you, truly. Your posts are a model of what this site is about.

Thanks Guy,

Although I can't take credit for the action shots... as I was driving the car :D

I am off to Goodwood for a sprint event at the end of this week, hoping to win a pot! If I don't win my class it will be down to my poor driving not the car as mine is the most powerfull in it's class, and Goodwood is a fast circuit

See pic of the car last year at Goodwood, my road springs were too soft then causing too much body roll and subsiquent oversteer. This year I am on Eibachs - 350lbs rears and 250lbs front - as used at Mallory.. solid as a rock 8)

What is the race series Geoff and who are you competing against?

I am currently in a sub class of the Aston Martin Owners Club ¢‚¬Å“ classed with ‹Å“Sports Cars, GT and saloon cars. Post -1959 up to 2 litres - normally aspirated. Apart from the age and capacity, the regs are quite free so long as the car conforms to the MSA tech regs

My opponents this year are the likes of MG Midgets, an Escort Mk1‚¦ those MG¢ž¢s are damn quick!

It¢ž¢s still early days for me and racing. My biggest handicaps are: the lack of racing experience, spare time to do events, the entrance fees, and the cars upkeep. If I manage to do 5 track events this year, including Track Days, then that¢ž¢s good

Guy, All,

Just a quick update. Last Saturday I took part in a sprint event at Goodwood with the Aston Martin Owners Club. I was competing against 7 other drivers which included 2 Lotus Exige¢ž¢s.

I took away the 'First In Class' trophy beating my overall personal best in a standing start lap time of just over 110 seconds. This lap time beats many of the bigger engined cars.

My Monte is still faster than me on the track (I bottle it before the car does :-O) . The Monte's main advantage over the other cars is it's cornering ability, but the GCT Stage II injected engine does the rest!

I have my laps on video that I will attempt to put on YouTube sometime, That is unless I can upload video here?

thank you, Geoff

Your car and work are of top notch quality. Congatulations on you class win. Hope there are many more to come. I live in the USA, seeing a car like yours makes me proud to be one of the few owners of this particular fine rare auto and gives me inspiration to bring it back to perfection. I am currently working on a turbo system for it and hope to get it out for a few fun days at the local track before the dreaded snow starts to fall. Once again, keep up the great work and good luck with your future outings.

Geoff, hi

just been directed here by you, thanks, and enjoyed the great track photos and report like so many others! Well done indeed!

Re videos, you can (or should be able to) upload up to say, 10mb of wmv or mpg video, in the same way as you do a photo (browse, select). The bigger the film, the longer it takes to upload and view. But - more fun to be able to just click on it and play it straight from the site than have to download an attachment, esp if you have broadband.

Following my race at Silverstone last weekend with the Bentley Drivers Club, see attached photos.

You can see from the leader board that, when this photo was taken, I was in 1st place. In the event I came second
