Hi

this is the Svensk Tiger Team car, which I have the plessure to share driving since the beginning of this season.
It is a 1965 Volvo Amazon with 1.8 l engine, race prepared according to FIA annexe K, which means it is pretty much standard regarding engine volume, SU carburators and brakes. It is equipped with a roll cage and a 70 l fuelcell.
We run in the german FHR (Fahrergemeinschaft Historischer Rennsport ~ Driverscommunity Historic Racing) Marathon Class, that means long distance races 3-4 hours with driver change. Normally we run it with 3 drivers, which means we do 1 stop more than most others...nevertheless we often manage to finish in the first third of the grid. To win you have to finish, and that what our brave Amazon always does...
We all do this for fun, and we have lots of it!

Beautifully prepared historic car, Thomas! I am a great fan of a white engine bay, so easy to find everything.

Thanks very much for uploading those interesting photos of what is - let's be honest - a quite rare car now. And they were certainly - in their day - reckoned to be a very fast (and very safe) car.

And with twin-carbs! That was really special in the 70's.
