Exhaust gaz temperature

Hi Guy,

I would like to know what is the max temperature (or a correct range) of the exhaust gaz ?
And if the gaz is too hot (or too warm) what does it mean in term of ignition and richness ?
And what are the consequences for mechanical element, oil ... ?

This for a normal/natural aspirated engine (but you can develop for charged engine)
