Hi,
Looking into getting the above manufactured and I have very little knowledge of steel grades and their applications.
After a little resarch over the weekend I think En45 (silicone-manganese spring steel) may be suitable for the torsion bars.
I don't think this would be ideal for the anti-roll bars. Perhaps En8 would be better or would these require a higher grade, full alloy steel?
The bars are all splined and approximately 1000mm long and diameters range between 20mm and 25mm depending on car use. Car is a Peugeot 205GTi. Preliminary drawing of a standard torsion bar attached.

Yes, but En 45A my old university notes tell me, a Si/Mn steel with fractionally higher carbon and silicon content that plain En45. I've never made either and of course it depends on the expected level of deflection but I figure that they both need the same level of recovery (springiness). Or better still, En 47 which has Chrome and vanadium added and has better fatigue resistance.
