132 rebore details .

Please could someone confirm details /acceptability of rebore for linners for pistons two sizes over standard on 1978 132 2 litre t.c. Thank you .

This post was concerning an engine for sale which is now sold ( to someone else for £250 ) . The seller who worked in an engine rebuilders had carried out the rebore/liners/new bearings /new pistons /piper reprofiled cams etc ten years ago at work copying work they carried out there on Fiat engined L.D.V.s ( I think it was ) . He did admit that he did not know if this type of reborelining was usualy carried out on 132s but could not see why one should not .Allthough intended for a future project the engine has sat unused since , hence my question , the answer to which I would still be interested to hear .
Have to say I found it odd that despite living in Lincolnshire this gentleman was unaware of Guy being a local .
