Re: '73 Fiat Abarth 124 Rally - project
Guy,
This is what I got:
1/ 2.0 oil pump ( brand new)
2/ 1.8 oil pump (used)
3/ 124 oil sump for 1.8 engine brand new (top) and 131 sump for 2.0 used (bottom)
Is this what you need to produce the sumps for me ? Do these parts look OK ?
If yes I am, shipping them Monday.

Guy,
A good friend asked me to ask you about availability of high dome forged pistons for 1290cc X-19?

I can do forged pistons for that motor. But not for sohc heads with huge oversized valves...
Your new 2 liter pump I think is an aftermarket copy, no Fiat numbers on it? I hope they are better now because when they first came out (I tried one when doing the Lotus Lada in 2002..!) it was impossible to fit them, none of the holes where in the right place.
Send anyway, I have new OEM 2 liter ones and loads of spares if need be.

Re: '73 Fiat Abarth 124 Rally - project
For those who still follow this thread ---
breaking news
Polish Automobile Association (PZM) Main Sporting Commission has just yesterday approved new rally series:
Polish Historic Rally Cup ( a Country championship series) is based on FIA Appendix K regulations for historic rally cars produced/ homologated between 1931- 1990. Classification is as in the FIA European Sporting Rally Championships with FIA 1- 4 categories and respective classes supplemented by two PZM (national) categories. One for Polish and former Eastern Block cars and one cars whose historic modifications somewhat exceed FIA requirements.
The Series is predominantly for drives with sporting licenses, however it will also be open to demonstration drives. The series will be open to international participants.
Guy Croft has gracefully agreed to accept our invitation to one of our Historic Cup Rallies as out guest o honor.
Here is the new logo of the series: (not previously released publicly via any other media but this respectful forum first).

Good job Miro, I know that you have a big contribution to this.
This is very good news, it is time to build a gr.A 125p with 1600 OHV engine.

you need to destroy before you build ...
A picture update :
and the project goes on ....
Miro
PS: weight that went off (ca 100 kg) should with ease balance the weight of safety cage equipment to be added for rallying ...

It's on it's way Miro. Nice to see progress. Aluminium door panels are looking amazing. Did you put any kind of electrical insulation between the alu skin and the metal door to prevent galvanic corrosion?
