Unleaded Fuel

Post by AGZero »

Hello Guy,
I finally got round to asking a question.
I have a Fiat TC 1995cc engine, the chap I bought it from said it was from an Argenta. I have this semi-pre-fitted into a lotus 7 style kit car.
The engine block serial / ID number is: 4356114 132 08 2A 0
The head serial / ID number is: 4372748
My question is, can I run this engine on unleaded fuel straight from the pump?
if not, what steps can I (someone) take to enable this, thus preventing damage to the head / valves, seats etc, such as:
a) modify the head?
b) use additives?
Also, are there any particular brands or octane values of fuel to use.....
I know there are other similar topics on your forum, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.
If the answer is to be found here, then apologies from me, and can you please direct me to it if this is the case.
Thanks for reading this and for any help.
thank you
Andrew Gorrie

best fuel is BP 98 or Shell V Nitro Plus.

No additives required! Those heads are compatible with unleaded gasoline.

Sorry nobody picked this up before.
