Hello Miro,
That is starting to look like a real 131 Abarth and not a Replica!!
Where can a person get the Aluminium door skins? Or do you make them?
Beautiful work of art!!
Ciao

Re: Buiding a 131 Abarth Replica STEP -BY-STEP
Ernst ,
This is custom hand made made for my 131 Abarth. When we tried to fit it it onto my car with previously fitted panels it could not be made to fit. No way could we do it , so I sold it (with bleeding heard) to a friend who is building this car. As the panels were just to be fitted the fitting the door was no problem.
Conclusion , Next time I am in my bodyshop which did the original alu covered front doors I will bring the car with me so all fits as a glove.
Bottom line : there is little chance this can be done properly , unless one is building from scratch or the car is brought to the body shop at the time of order.
Also to be noted is the cost (not a a minor one I assure you) but if we are doing a replica we try to get as much original parts , and whatever cannot be obtained we replicate using same materials and same technology.
Thanks
Miro
