I've just received my signed manual #14 and it's beyond my expectation. Though obviously not having read it completely yet but merely scanning it I find it an inspiring book that makes me want to attack my spare engine! It should be on the book shelf of everyone with an in depth interest in engine performance enhancement.

Regards,

Charles

Just like to thank Guy following the arrival of my new workshop manual. It had to travel to Australia, and fortunately it had been very well packed. Judging by the number of dents, bumps and scrapes it needed to be.Thank's again.

Have just rec'd my copy of the book down in New Zealand. Very excited (and equally daunted) to absorb it all. As always, superbly packaged for the long distance it travelled.

Many thanks

Afternoon All,
I received my copy of Guy's latest book. It is an absolute must -have for a number of reason. They include a load of stunning photographs which do so much to clarify and expand on the text; the ring binder format makes for easy access including when one is in ones garage. However, the best bit (sorry Guy) is the section at the end which gives case histories of owners cars. These really are inspiring and encouraging quite apart form being a fascinating read. The book is so much more than a re-formatting of his last book. There is much new stuff to read. I cannot commend it highly enough particularly when a meal for two at Pizza Express cost about the same these days!!

I got my manual while I was away so I had a chance to have a pretty good read of a few sections: when Guy says "use decent English in your posts or you're out of here" it is probably because he seems to have a degree in literature, not engineering! The manual is very nicely written and the detail is amazing. I'm not sure where I am going to get the special blasting medium he recommends - or that it is necessary to make every internal part of the engine glisten with newness, but I certainly agree that everything has to be clean, clean, clean when rebuilding any part, be it the pipe protector for the gas tank filler or the oil pump. (BTW - the description of what to do with oil pumps is awesome!) In short, well done Guy on a great piece of writing! Now I am going to have a good look at my spare cams and waffle manifold to see what should be done :)

thank you,
Tommilton
