Fiat coupe 16vt/ Lancia delta gearboxes
Hi there. I'm about to spent a considerable amount of money on my coupe gearbox. What I need to know is if I do but later go 4x4 can I then change my bell housing for a delta one and still run my gearbox? Thanks. Mike

I think what you mean is:
Is the Coupe 16v gearbox compatible with the Integrale (4 x 4) bellhousing?
I don't know and I have no idea what variants of 4 x 4 gearbox there are.
There are several unknowns here incl the method of clutch actuation - some 16v turbo models are pull not push..

Ok thanks . It's currently a pull clutch but I understand I will need it to be a push type. I have posted my question on other forums. Hopefully someone will know somewhere .

Re: Fiat coupe 16vt/ Lancia delta gearboxes
My integrale is a push type cable (1989 8v kat). I think later models (evo) are pull type.
Dedra turbo (2wd, 8v) appears to have the same gearbox case and bellhousing like the integrale. The difference I saw was only in the differential housing (part of the gearbox case with a separate cover). So I think the bellhousing is the same on the integrale and 2wd turbos, but not so sure if you can put the central differential and connect the transfer case to the coupe's gearbox.
I have the integrale gearbox on a table and the Dedra gerbox in the car so I can make some photos if that would help.

8V integrale has a mechanically operated pull type clutch
16V, evo 1&2 (and possibly 8V kat) have hydraulically operated push type clutch!
