I have a few technical questions to you:
1) The crankshaft you used was described as stock Fiat part. Is it the crank found in newer 1.6 16v engines (with 80.5mm bore)? If not, where is it coming from?
2) You used stock conrods and stock pistons. How did you compensate for 10mm bigger stroke then? I was thinking of using aftermarket 5mm lower compression height pistons to compensate. Can you please give details which pistons you used?
3) Even with 67.4mm stroke, oil gallery casting on front of the block has to be machined slightly to clear the rods. On all SOHC 1580ccm engines, this is done in factory. However, it seems like going further with stroke would require much material to be removed, effectively breaking into the oil gallery. Do you have a pic of your engine bottom end, viewed from crank side?
4) On 1580ccm 16v engines, there are no threaded holes to carry right engine mount. Furthermore, custom engine mount has to be fabricated to clear the timing belt. Do you have photos of the engine mount made and how it has been attached to the engine?

And add two more mounts, one from a Fiat Tempra, and one "gear box mount" from a Fiat Uno 1.6 86.
Total: 2 engine mounts and 3 gear box mounts.

Yes, it's called "corsa lunga" or "long stroke" in italian... both versions are produced in argentina and exported for italy and brasil... They're used in Italy in Doblo, Stilo and in the Lancia Lybra...
In Brasil the "corsa lunga" is used in Doblo, brava (after 2001) and marea.
I think that our palio uses both versions of the 1.6 16v...
