It is my understanding that IDF were designed for longitudinally configured motors only and would suffer from fuel starvation when used in a transverse application. Does anyone have any information on suitable float/chamber modifications to alleviate this problem?

Indeed Guy, that would be the simplest solution but it's that old eligibility issue again, getting in the way of common sense engineering solutions.
