Here's a short video of the exhaust from.beind using a mobile phone.

Just copy url into your search bar. Sounds great when it's driving away or past but actually quiet in the car

Sounds just like the Audi but a tad more "diesely". :)

Really must remove my centre box....

So tonight I fitted brand new cv joints and got the gear linkages connected up.
Now just need to get suspension for front built up and fitted.
Hoping the upgrades should help improve the drive.

The car doesn't sound bad for a dirty old diesel.

Once sorted i promise to concentrate on the Capri again!

Getting bored of playing with the daily runarounds

So in 2 weeks we clocked up 1200+miles since the upgrade and renovation. The only issues I had was the one new cv boot has burst with small hole. So I need to replace! Damn it.
One of the and wheel.speed sensors was damaged when removing the rear hubs so that needs doing which prevents the vdc from working, but the car drives better without it haha!

As for the remap with the 6 speed box I have a returning fault where if I have a high load high rev condition e.g.4k+ rpm WOT the fuel pressure is reading 1450bar and the safe sensor kicks in and hard shuts the engine! The sensor should kick at 1500bar so I need to replace the sensor.

May mean I have to remove injection pump though and replace belts to do it which will be a pain. I have another option of fitting a 1600bar sensor so it never gives an issue again but I think I may get it remapped again.

The above are.minor issues which will be fixed quickly and do not detract from the driving experience

This car is now off the road and i lost interest
It was running beautifully until the clutch pressure plate and thrust washer seperated meaning i was left with no clutch and also a half engaged clutch which meant i got it most of the way home, trying to keep the speed up, but was slipping too much to get it up a small hill.
The clutch and pressure plate from CG Motorsport had only run 1800miles and 3 months. I just couldn't bring myself to drop the gearbox again. I might end up breaking this car for parts and moving it on for space
A sad end, but it was fun whilst it was going and it really did show a clean set of heels to other motors and drove great.
