The photos show the front cross member modifications that were done to clear the sump and get the engine to the correct height, the engine and gearbox was bought off an internet auction site for £200, it had been rebuilt and never run, when we did eventually run it it was found to have been assembled dirty, sand grit etc was found in the oil ways and the crank bearings were scrap!!. We are now rebuilding the engine with new block, crank pistons etc. Putting this engine in the Herald was always going to be difficult due to the front suspension. Hope you members find this interesting.

Just come across this build and it does look really interesting. There is something about old Triumph's which really appeals to me, probably one of my friends fault after he turned up at my house with his Vitesse and threw me the keys. Ever since them i have had more of an appreciation for other cars. One of my other friends has recently re-acquired his old Toledo aswell which is pretty cool.
Be interested to see where you take this, good luck.
