Ok so i bought a crank position sensor for the car to see if this would work, but still no joy with starting.
I then re-wired one of the relays which seems to give issues and that made it slightly better, but i really do think there are alot of bad connections under the bonnet. Still might try new MAF and new Cam position sensor. Can't be many sensors left to replace now!
Car is looking really sorry for itself, but after fiddling around with it, we have at least managed to make the car run slightly smoother once running. Worked out the lambda sensors were connected into the wrong connector. This has also helped with throttle response. Anyway, still more work to do, then we can look at repairing the rusty bits and get it MOT'd again

a coolant temp sender to the ecu - if fitted - could be the culprit - faulty

engine doesn't know if it's hot or cold..

worth changing anyway, had that on my Rangey..

Replaced both coolant sensors one for ecu and one for display.
Thats the problem with modern vehicles, everything is bloomin electrical now.
