Dimitris Lancia Delta 1,3 1982

Post by alexopdim »

Since i remember my self we had Lancia's

I grew up in a beta berlina

But my father loved the delta and managed to get an almost new one back in 1985.

I learned to drive in that car...

When i started working decide to repair it.
Bought another one to have it as spares. But this came up to be in very good shape.

So decided to restore it.

First went to my mechanic to fix any mechanical problems.

After that I started taking the car apart to fix some damages on the panels and then paint it in the original color.

Today the car is almost finished from the looks point of view.
Just finished painting the wheels and still need to put the rear bumper on.

Here are some pictures (hope the size is correct)

After I finish with the look, there is a decission to be made....

Should i just "refurbish" the engine fitted and leave the car as it is??

Or

I have a engine-gearbox from a Delta HF Turbo Carburator... and was thinking of refurbishing that one and put it on the car with a small change.

I would like to not fit the turbo but change to atmospheric...
I was thinking of making an inlet manifold and fit "maybe" 2 double horizontal carbs maybe size 40 or something like that!

cannot decide yet

MODEL POST!

I happen to think the Delta was one of the best of the range, makes a fearsome rally weapon too if prepped right!
