As I always say - if the engine won't fit, cut the car...

Thanks, modest humour on a dull hot day..!

My best (I think) was to an owner re his Lancia Stratos replica by Hawkridge being 'over-servoed'. That was in the 90s. Apparently I told him to 'drive it harder' and it went down as-such in print in Kit Cars International which I thought was fun.

Anyhow, your car looks great.

Finally, I can make a positive update to this thread.

Anyway, the car has now passed its MOT and is fully Taxed, so Phill is putting some Road miles on the car to tweak the throttle map. This should be happening over the next couple of evenings and the plan is then to get it to Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground to finalise the map with some "Road conditions". This should get me behind the wheel for the first time in nearly 2 years, so I will either pick up where I left it, or have to learn it all again. I'm hoping the later as the power increase could catch me out if I'm too confident too soon.

I'm so very excited about the day out next week to Brunters. I'm going to try and get some pics and videos that I'll post on my site, and if I'm allowed to, I'll link to on here too.

thank you all!
A very excited Ant :-)

Well I've just had the call from Phill to say I can go up tomorrow to collect it!

To say I'm excited is an understatement. Not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight.

Above is a link to the project videos on my site.

Last on the page is the dyno pull from the other week.

Currently pulling the car apart for a different clutch to go on. The Tilton that has caused me so many problem is finally coming off.

thank you mate. The engine has put up with a lot of abuse so far. Has always felt like a good one. There is a lot of oil gunk around the block though, not sure where it is coming from. Possibly the sump gasket leaking and then air flow misting it over the back of the of the block. There is also quite a bit on the front too, so I need to track these down. Found a few niggles that I need to sort out which I'm going to use this time to investigate while I'm swapping the clutch.
