The car is finally up and running....

I have listed 2 comaprison engines, the standard gti6 (xu10j4rs) and my old puma racing engine.

The differences from puma engine (Puma 8v) to latest engine (Sandy 8v) are:

- Omega works forged pistons (83.5mm) and new liners completely rebuilt by des-developments
- Longmans +1mm Group A head, later flow enhanced by Mark Shilabeer
- Head and valve train rebuilt by Sandy Brown using Catcams double valve system and a Newmans ph4 cam (a lot of little jobs were done to optimise the head)
- KMS ECU replaced with DTA s40, now running 8 injectors
- Exhaust manifold replaced, previously using a nasty 4 branch from maniflow, now using longmans dyno tuned equal length header race version

Unless I've missed something, your graphs might need to be captioned Sean, show which is which ..

The graphs are being cropped for me too Sean.

Can you resize the images? If not I'll gladly do it for you.

Seems they're cropped to 683x592 px.

Well the car is back home with me now. :D

I went down to Cornwall yesterday on the train from Brighton, spent the day with Colin and Sandy (perfecting the map) and drove it back tonight.

I must say the car drives like a dream. The car has a seriously good powerband and I can drive around in 5th more than I ever have in the past. Driving the 230 miles tonight home, the engine felt very strong and didn't miss a beat.

This is it parked up for the night..will need a good wash/polish before going into the garage.

It's all relatively quiet at the moment, been extremely busy at work.

The car is booked into Powerspeed in Kent on the 7th Jan for a new custom exhaust;probably with a repackable silencer and maybe straight out the middle of the rear. Then off to steve greenald's place for a slight remap. I'll also have a temporary front entry filter to test also, as we proved the current airbox does have some losses.

Also to make the new airbox and a few other items myself, Santa arrived early..

Powerspeed are sound. I used them for my Downpipe and wasteagate dumptube. Should be a nice bit of kit you get from them.

What projects do you have lined up for the tig?
