There may be a way of shimming in situ on that head, but I have not found it yet, even experimenting with all the various shim tools I possess I have succeeded in getting shims to jump out while holding the bucket down, not a happy situation to be in..
Yes 8V TC's are easy to do in situ. 16v Integrales aren't.

If Mario reckons the valve clearances are causing rough running as you describe, he may well be right. He's very experienced indeed. Trouble with this kind of thing sometimes you have to just go and correct a known defect like that in order to ascertain the real truth of what's happening. And sometimes you're right first time, sometimes not.
