CO readings

Post by MinorTC »

Yesterday, I used a Gunsons Gastester Pro exhaust gas analyser to measure the level of CO in my 2-litre Fiat twin-cam's exhaust, and was quite surprised to find it came in at 0.2-0.3%, which seemed very low to me.

The engine, as far as I know, is standard, with the strandard Weber 34ADF carb.

According to the Haynes manual, it should be around 2.5% CO.

Does anyone know the optimal figure for these?

Thanks,
Maurice,
East Kent.

Thanks, Guy.

I'll have to try re-adjusting it soon...
