HI GUY.

I'm rebuilding an engine from a Lancia 2.0 16v turbo and I need some advice.
The engine had 70,000 miles was stopped five years, when stripped of the crankshaft bearings I noticed that the bearings were damaged, then I send pictures.
The crankshaft is good and the sleeves are not damaged
The rod bearings did not show any damage, which can be done to prevent this from happening.
What brand of gaskets, bearings, piston rings, I can use, and what I can do to have a good engine.

As far as I can tell from Fiat OE source:

1. No more main bearings
2. No more rod bearings
3. No more gasket sets
4. No more rings
5. No more pistons
6. Very few individual gaskets and seals incl balance shaft gaskets and one of the seals, intake or ex gaskets.

I have tried repeatedly inside the last two years to get them for 16v turbo even a 'world search' of all dealers threw up nothing. Of course one or two specialists will have 'stockpiles' but I'm not naming other suppliers here with the exception of Keith at AutoIntegrale who is a good man. I have stock on a lot of the hard-to-get gaskets and seals.

As for bearings I use latest generation Glyco lead-copper ones that I stock here on rods and mains, frequently OE thrust washers when I can get them which I have too although there is nothing special about them and ordinary 8V TC ones are the same. Pistons would literally have to be forged with race rings like mine shown below. I've posted below a download of 99% of the gaskets and seals I can think of at my prices. I have race head bolts 16v (the real thing not cheap junk from China) just email me with the list of every one of the parts you need.

There is NO cheap way of rebuilding that engine, trust me. The parts will cost you a lot of money wherever you buy them.

What a beautiful set! Showpiece indeed.

Luckily I managed to find Glyco bearings here and have installed them on my conrod ends.
The previous ones I removed were unknown and found one half damaged possibly due to inferior materials or overheating.

It's certainly not cheap indeed, I've just spent about £6000 on new bits for my integrale and it's only an 8v(pretty much all the internals brand new). I've found Bielstein in Germany very helpful for parts (brand new OE crank with matched OE bearings) and of course I've got a few bits and pieces from Guy. The forged rods are gorgeous too, I hated covering them up in the engine but took a few photos for the front of the fridge!
