Camshafts

Post by tcmoggy »

I'm thinking about fitting a turbo 16V top end and GC pistons onto my 8V block and I've been offered a complete 16V turbo coupe with worn cams. I'm trying to establish why they have worm before I commit but was wondering after reading another thread, what cams could I fit as replacements? Will 1.6 16V brava cams be any good? N/A 16V cams or should I look at replacement turbo cams.
Gonna fit the injection system as well and either get the ecu remapped ato remove the immobiliser or get an Omex (they are at the end of my road).
Has anyone else done this?
Any comments greatly appreciated.
(And Guy, I will get around to buying a book)

Thanks Steve,

That'll be very helpful with the Omex installation, I'll drop you a pm at some point to "tap your knowledge" :-)
