Hi Mr Croft ,Have you any experience grinding down piston gudegon pins , my pins are just a bit to large ? OVE

this is no problem.

If the pins use round wire clips the pins must be chamfered. If spiral locks are used the pins must be flat-faced.

So you can grind off as much as you want but be sure to keep the shape the same.

GC, what do You thinking about reducing a gudgeon pin weight by making his ID bigger eg. in lathe ?

From technical this is a bit tricky op because pins are always hard and need a special tools for hard materials, but I would like to know your point of view, due to strength a modified by this way pins.

It looks that I wil use unfortunely an OE heavy pins (about 130g).
