Fiat Spider - hardtop pattern help request

Post by Guy Croft »

Potential GC client would like to borrow a Fiat Spider 124 CSA style hard top (or similar) to use as a pattern to make one for his car (a 124 1800 Spider, non US version) - due to be raced maybenext year in HSCC racing.

If anyone in the UK - or near continent - can help please write here or contact him direct:

Ian P Croft [ian@croft-machinery.com]

No relation! Yes I know Moerenhout in Belgium sells them. Not wanted!

Hope someone will come forward.

Thanks very much,

GC

How close to the 'real thing' does it need to be? You are more than welcome to borrow the mould I made for mine if it doesn't need to be an exact replica of the factory item, as mine definitely isn't.

No problem Guy, I'm more than happy to help. Ian called me earlier and it sounds like he can get away with my approximate replica to the factory roof. He's only about an hour from me, so we'll get together and see what use he can make of the moulds. It sounds like he has a nice 'little' historic racing/rally project planned.

Simon.
