BMW E30 rear suspension for 131

Hi.

I am taking over a abarth replica project.

And i plan to make indipendent rear suspension from bmw e30.

Has anyone done this before? Tips. Pictures. Anything would be healpfull..!

I will give you a reply today about it.
I have fitted custom made suspension in my Fiat that is based on original design but it is not a copy of original abarth suspension.

Harry,
If you haven't already started on this conversion, you may want to think about other alternatives. I looked at an E 30 rear end for my Abarth replica, but the down side is that there are not a great choice of ratios, and they are basically a single arm. I ended up using the rear end out of a Nissan S15 (maybe delivered in your country as a Sylvia or 200SX), cheap to purchase, double A arm design, and is mounted in a cradle - all that was required was to fit and reinforce 4 mounting studs, and to open up the shocker towers a little at the base. I elected to narrow the rear end by 100mm to retain the same track as original, but you could leave it as is if you wanted. I had to have one driveshaft made, and the short shaft became the long shaft - the Nissan R200 diff is bulletproof, and comes standard with a torsen type LSD.
