Interesting to see the VIN plate reads 'Alfa Lancia,'

Great work, very inspirational! I know its a funny thing to bring up with all the more important work, but where on earth did you get that compact little heater unit from? I made one using a pop riveted alloy box with the stock exchanger and a fiesta blower, yours it carbon fibre though, very nice! Have you had all the "gold bits" zinc passivated?

Hi Guy

I made the carbon heater box myself, spent a few weeks making a mould out of mdf and filler then layed it up. Had to break the mould to get it out though so sorry I cannot make any more, and yes the gold bits are zinc'd.

I have a few more pictures for an update. Car is currently in a friends workshop having Carbon/Kevlar front wings, fibreglass, bonnet, tailgate, and doors fitted. Also we are removing the Astra racing graphics and going completely white.

Here are some before pictures I will post some through the process and when finished.

Enjoy

They are actually Compomotive MO 6 spoke wheels not Tecnomagnesio.

Snap, got the exact same wheels as you !

How much of a weight saving would you estimate with the new pannels fitted ?

Ah, I'll remember the Compomotive alternative. The Tecno's have trouble fitting over large brake setups.

Well the front brakes are 6 pot AP racing, with 355mm discs and there is 5mm clearance in a 17" wheel

Fitting 17" Tecnomagnesio on a 4 pot Brembo, with 305mm discs like on the Coupe20 VT won't work without insane spacers. Quite a difference, or the AP calipers will be less deep than the Brembo ones.

Hi, fantastic car and the standard of work is impressive.
Where did the fibreglass bonnet, tailgate, & doors come from?
I had a similar idea some time ago. Trouble is, mine is an Integrale in boxes at the moment!
Be great to see it completed.
All the best

The bonnet and tailgate were made in the UK, while the doors were made in Poland (hand delivered to the UK by the guy who made them I might add)
