GC, could you tell me, what is a thickness of compressed Goetze Astadur headgasket ? I measured a thickness in this unsused headgasket and it is about 1,9mm with 2,1mm fire rings, the diameter of fire rings is 85,40mm.

I need this data for your CR calculator, I don't know how much settle this type of headgasket in service.

Sincerely.

Unfortunely it is an only rookie salesman from local shop, not an expert.

Who is that shop? Tell me.

Sealed 8v Goetze head gaskets of that type are not available in the UK. Have not been for 10 years.

Unsealed they go hard and are useless, the Astadur material must be sealed into the packet.

You have the original packets?

I bought this gasket from local Fiat parts shop, unfortunely without original packet, it was packed in violated foil.

Here in Poland we have a plenty of TC parts, these engine were very popular in 80's and 90's in FSO 125p and Polonez. FSO had their rally team with group B Polonez 2000 Turbo.

Cast, domed OE oversized pistons are also avaible in Poland.

out of the packet it is useless.

The original packets carried that warning. The thermo-setting polymer will have vulcanised years ago.

I get this nonsense-selling from E Europe every day via friends on Facebook.

You have been sold a product that's not fit for service. I would return it.
