Fiat Camshaft Setups

I have a set of Camshafts that I am busy playing with to learn and understand more about the setup of camshafts.

This profile is known as EPR13.007.

What is the best way in making decisions on what degrees to set these camshafts up?

If possible what would be the best clearance for shimming up these cams as I have no data and cannot find the original Design specifications?

Setting at 106 for Inlet and 105 for Exhaust is what Cam Pro Plus reads as the Centreline for these cams.

I want to use these cams in a 2000 motor for circuit racing at sea level.

The ignition will be distributor less running of the front pulley with a 36 minus 1 pickup.

The compression is at 10.2 to 1 and this can still be increased if needed with other pistons.

At this stage valves are 43mm Inlet and 37.5mm Exhaust.

The head is very nicely done and combustion chambers are 50cc.

The crankshaft has been lightened and the bottom end is balanced.

The valve spring and spring seats are on their way from you Mr Croft! Thank you very much.

I'd go 100 deg FL inlet and 104 ex.

That said - what you can do will depend entirely on your piston-valve clearances..

Thank you very much for that answer.

I will setup and test clearance and confirm.

Head is not finished yet. Will be done very soon and will assemble and test.
