Combustion chamber volume, Abarth 16V vs modern Fiat Lancian

Post by tmvolumex »

Guy,
Do you happen to know how the combustion chamber volumes from a 1980's Abarth 16 valve head and a 1990's on, Fiat Lancia 16 valve head compare? I can measure an Abarth 16V head but I don't have a modern Fiat / Lancia 16 valve head (Lancia Integrale, Fiat Coupe etc).
Thanks,
Tom

Depends so much on head refacing op and valve/seat work Tom, but typically:

16v Fiat Tipo/Lancia Integrale head volume:

factory standard - 42cc

Fiat Abarth 131 16v:

39.5cc on a low-hour run head after GC seat work/valve overhaul and modest reface op
38cc on a very well-used one after the same ops
