BMW M10 engine C.R.

Post by alexfl82 »

Hi to all,

I'm making a BMW 2002ti rally car and I'm not abot C.R. and cam.

I have a new set of J.E. forged pistons, with these pistons I'll get 10,5:1 C.R.

Can I use a 316º Scrhick cam with this C.R.?
Will work fine?

Cam Lift (valve lift) I/E mm: 9.1 / 11.9
Duration: 316º/3116º/100º
Valve timing: 58-78-78-58
Valve lift at TDC: 5,6

It's the P.N.:0002 01 160-03

Thank's in advance for you help.

Best regards,

Alex.

I would be sure to check piston to valve clearance with a dry build, as should be done in any application changing cams. Especially if changing cams and pistons! Guy details this procedure on this site.
